The government started giving training to 60 thousand teachers on teaching in multimedia classrooms.
‘Digital content development training’ will cost Taka 75 crore.
The training is being offered through 14 teachers training colleges under the Teachers Quality Improvement (TQI) project. Trained teachers have already started teaching in multimedia classrooms in 20 thousand educational institutions. The programme’s national project director and ICT Secretary NI Khan told BSS that through this training, the teachers would acquire knowledge to develop digital contents without any cost. They will also be able to spread the contents free of cost through webportal ‘Shikkhak Batayan’.
TQI Project Director Banomali Bhoumik said the government started training teachers for developing contents to introduce digital classes in all areas.
“As part of this, we have started training teachers through 14 teachers training colleges,” he said, adding that a total of 60 thousand teachers would be trained in phases.
