The parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of primary and mass education in a meeting yesterday recommended the ministry concerned to immediately issue the Teacher Transfer Rule 2015. Chaired by the committee chairman Md Motahar Hossain, the meeting also discussed printing of the textbooks by NCTB, said a press release.
The meeting also recommended the ministry concerned to take immediate steps to settle the writ-petition filed with the High Court regarding the appointment of peon-cum-night guards for primary schools.
Committee members – primary and mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman, AKM Jahangir Hossain, Samshul Haq Chowdhury, Md Abdur Rahman, Md Nazrul Islam Babu, Md Abul Kalam and Mohammad Elias attended the meeting. Additional secretary of the ministry and other high officials of the ministry and the Jatiya Sangsad were present.
