A retired school teacher and a college student were hacked to death and slaughtered by unidentified assailants in Tangail and Dinajpur early Wednesday. They have been identified as Abu Sayeed Nuru and Riad respectively.
The retired primary school teacher was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Beltoil of Ajgana union in Mirzapur upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayeed Nuru, 70, former teacher of a Government Primary School.
Police and witnesses sources said Nuru slept at his house alone on Tuesday night as his wife went to her brother’s house. Miscreants entered house sometime in the night and hacked dead.
On Wednesday morning, the victim’s wife found the blood-strained body of Nuru when she came to house early.
Hearing screaming for help, local people rushed in and informed the police Sub-inspector of Mirzapur Police Station Md Mosharraf Hossain said, on information, a team of police
 went to the spot and recovered the body.
Later, the body was sent to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue.
Meanwhile, a college student identified as Riad was slaughtered at Hajipara village in Bochaganj
 upazila of Dinajpur district at about 4 am, said Habibul Haque, OC of Bochaganj PS.
At least five injury marks were found in the body, the police official said. The incident might
 have linked to love affair matter, the OC said.The body was sent to the Dinajpur
 Medical College and Hospital, he said.
