A school teacher of Joyjhap High school under Saltha upazilla of the district was stabbed to death by a known drug addict on Thursday.
According to Saltha police the school teacher identified as Belayet Hossain Dulal,47 hailing from Sreenagar village of Saltha was stabbed seriously by one Liton Molla,27 a neighbor of the deceased.
Police said that deceased Belayet Hossain opposed Liton and strongly bashed him to leave his habit of taking drug. This enraged Liton stabbed Belayet mercilessly yesterday who succumbed to his injuries in the evening on the way to Faridpur Medical college Hospital.
After the incident, Liton has fled from the area.
