Md Shakhawat Hussain ,a high school teachers’ leader and retired renowned Headmaster of DN High School, a premier institution in Chandpur passed away on Sunday afternoon after prolonged illness due to severe cold and respiratory problems in a private clinic in the Dhaka city.
He was 75. He left behind his only son , three daughters and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death.
Side by side with his profession, he worked as President of Non-Government High School Teachers’ Association for long and Shikkhok Kormochari Oikya Front, Chandpur Dist Unit.
He was laid to rest after Johar prayer at his family graveyard at Alghi village under Haimchar Upazila on Monday afternoon.
A large number of teachers and people attended both his janajas.
