A tea vendor was beaten to death allegedly by another vendor in Chittagong city’s Ananya Residential area on Friday.
The deceased — Mohammad Ali, 35, from Nasir Nagar in Brahmanbaria — used to live in Nayarhat area.
Bayezid Police Station Sub-inspector Abdul Hashem said a brawl ensued between Ali and another tea stall owner Shahidul Islam over selling tea. Ali was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he was declared dead, said the SI.
