Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has again started selling products in Chittagong at subsidized prices on the occasion of its founding anniversary.
Soybean oil, lentils, sugar and onion are being sold in 16 trucks in Chittagong metropolis and in 13 trucks in different upazilas of the district.
It is learned that a consumer can buy sugar at Tk 55 per kg, lentils at Tk 60 per kg, onion at Tk 30 per kg and soybean oil at Tk 110 per TCB truck. A buyer can buy a maximum of 2 kg of sugar, lentils and two to five liters of oil. You can also buy onions up to two to five kg.
Jamal Uddin Ahmed, head of TCB’s Chittagong regional office, said that TCB’s products have started selling at subsidized prices from Monday after being closed for some time.
There was no change in the price of the product and the amount of allocation per buyer.
At present, goods are being sold in 30 trucks in Chittagong metropolis and upazila.
