TCB’s fair price sale of essential commodities has started again from yesterday (Monday) in the port city. Commodities of fair price will be sold in the whole city in 20 mobile trucks. This time the daily commodities include sugar, lentils and soybean oil.
These TCB products will be available at a lower price of Tk 13 to Tk 30 per kg from the market price during this difficult time in Corona. From each truck, a buyer can buy sugar at Tk 55 per kg, lentils at Tk 55 per kg and soybean oil at Tk 100 per liter. A buyer can buy 2 kg of sugar, 2 kg of pulses and 1 liter to 5 liters of soybean oil, according to TCB Chittagong office sources.
TCB Chittagong regional office chief Jamal Ahmed said that TCB products would be sold in 20 trucks at 20 important spots in the city every day. Besides, 23 trucks have been allotted for three hill districts. In Greater Chittagong, a total of 43 trucks will sell fair price products from July 5 to July 29. Eid holidays will be closed for a few days. He said a dealer would be given 600 kg of sugar, 500 kg of pulses and 1,000 liters of soybean oil per day for sale.
