‘Taxes to be levied through automation’

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena. Rahmatul Munim said the tax will be collected through automation to stop harassment and irregularities. He said this at a pre-budget discussion meeting held at Rokeya Hall of RDRS Bhaban in Rangpur city on Saturday afternoon.
Abu Hena said, we have to create the mentality of paying taxes for the development of the country. If taxes are collected properly, the development of the country will be achieved. Giving more taxes does not lead to a recession in business, but business grows. So you have to pay more and more taxes. Talking about the system of tax collection through automation system, the NBR chairman said, this system will stop harassment and irregularities. There will be no opportunity for any kind of meeting between the taxpayer and the recipient. Automatic tax assessment can also be done by submitting the paperwork through specific apps.
Noting that the Rangpur division is not neglected in the NBNBR, he said the Rangpur division has now come a long way. From here we get a lot of taxes.
