Chittagong Bureau :
The first ever Income Tax Fair was arranged in Chittagong at MA Aziz Gymnisium complex four years ago where collected about Tk.40 crores as tax revenue from the beneficiaries directly.
But in fifth fair in the port after 4 years, total income tax collection stands at Tk.352.99 crores which is more than 8th times of first fair .
The tax officials in the fair told The New Nation that the awareness about the tax payment among the citizens irrespective of status increase to maximum extents and the changed the tax payment culture through organizing the such Tax fairs in country gradually. Sources said in last the total tax was realized Tk.276 cr in fourth fair and now it is increased by Tk.77 crores this year.
