Tatiny team emerged as the champions of the Walton 1st Women’s Beach FootballTournament beating Tanmay team by a solitary goal in the final at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Friday.
Mina of Tanmay team was adjudged the Player of the Tournament. Jobida of Tatini team was the highest scorer of the meet. She scored four goals.
A total of four teams took part in the competition. They are: Tatiny team, Tanmay team, Taranga team and Tapati team.
Each participating team got Tk 5,000.
The Player of the Tournament and the highest scorer were given Walton home appliance.
After the final match, Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar District Anwarul Naser, General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Anup Barua Apu, Vice-President of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Md Jasim Uddin and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Rashed Hossain Nannu were present at the time.
