Popular face of the small screen and web series of present time Tasnia Farin is set to make her debut in the silver screen. She will be seen in Kolkata’s celebrated director and producer Atanu Ghosh’s upcoming movie
titled Aro Ek Prithibi.
Tasnia Farin has already established her position in Bengali dramas with her acting skills. She has also made her debut on the web platform and has worked on a
web series titled Ladies and Gentlemen directed by noted filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Actress Tasnia Farin herself
confirmed the news through a Facebook post on Friday. She wrote, “And it’s finally happening – my first film. Keep me in your prayers.” Tasnia Farin informed that she is going to London on May 18 to shoot the movie, which shooting is scheduled to kick off on May 20. The actress believed after watching her acting in Ladies and Gentlemen, director Atanu Ghosh told several media outlets that he was amazed with Tasnia Farin’s performance and he would like to cast her in his next project.
Director Atanu Ghosh always comes up with a different style of story. Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan won the Filmfare Award of India for her performance in the movie titled Robibaar, directed by Atanu Ghosh. This time another Bangladeshi actress Tasnia Farin is going to make her debut in the
silver screen under his direction.
According to Indian media, the setting of this movie revolves around London in UK. So, the whole shooting will be there. It will be produced under the banner of S K Films. Famous Kolkata producer-actor Kaushik Ganguly will also perform in the movie with Shaheb Bhattacherjee, Anindita Bose, and among others. The movie has a host of foreign actors from Britain, Syria, Africa and Korea. Debojyoti Mishra scores the music. Director Atanu said, “I am going to London with four people. Shooting will continue until the second week of June. After 16 days of continuous shooting, the camera will be closed after shooting for three days in Kolkata. Looking at Tasnia Farin, it seemed that I was looking for this girl for my picture number 10. The manner of speaking, the body language, everything is going well,” he added.
Regarding the context of the movie, director Atanu Ghosh said that the movie titled Aro Ek Prithibi will tell the story of four people. These four people do not have their own house or roof over their heads. The story of finding that reliable roof will be revealed in the movie and the four different characters will be tied in one thread
for the need of the story.
“Few days ago, I read a book titled Four Feet Under: Untold
stories of homelessness in London. From there the thought of this movie came out. In this film, we will try to showcase London in a completely different way. It is very different from the way London has been shown on the screen for so long,” said the director.
