AB Siddiqui, President of the Jananetri Parishad yesterday sued BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and 10 others on the charge of threatening to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The case was filed with the court of Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Sattabrata Sikder on Thursday and the court recorded the depositions of complainant AB Siddiqui, and .he is yet to pass orders .in the case.
Others, who are proposed to be made accused are- BNP Metropolitan
North Committee Vice Chairman Robiul Awal Sohel, Jamaat leader Shah Ali Bagdadi, Kamil Madrasa’s sacked Vice Principal Md Afzal Hossain, Professor Md Mujibur Rahman, Professor Abdul Karim, Hafez Md Didarul Islam, Md Zakir Hossain,. Md Abdul Halim, Md Saddam Hossain, Abdullah and Md Mojibur Rahman Sheku.
The FIR of the case says that the complainant filed another case against these people on December 10. Later, on December 27, he was threatened to withdraw the case.
