Tax Department of Chittagong estimated target of realization of Tax for Tk.600 cr from the tax fair against 22 thousand returns scheduled to be held from tomorrow at GEC convention centre in the city . This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Taxation Zone-1 of Chittagong Mahbub Hossain at a press conference held yesterday at Agrabad Govt office building auditorium . The seven day long Tax fair will begin from Wednesday next at GEC convention hall . Minister for Housing and Public works Engr. Mosharraf Hossain is expected to inaugurate the fair as chief guest at 10 am. Mentionable the in Tax fair of 2016, it realized tax Tk.517 cr against 18349 returns of the port city. The press meet was told that similar tax fair will be arranged at Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari with duration of 4 days very shortly. Besides, a day long mobile tax fair will be arranged at Anowara, Patiya, Lohagara, Satkania, Chandanaish, Raozan, Hathazari, Boalkhali, Chowkaria, Ramu and Teknaf under Chittagong taxation zone. Among others, Tax commissioner Pradut Kumar Sarkar, Md. Motahar Hossain, Nazmul Karim, Ahmedullah, Additional commissioner and Fair committee member secretary Mofizullah, Addl.Commissioner Miss Safina Jahan were present in the press meet, Taxation office sources said.
