President Md Abdul Hamid will be present as the chief guest at the awards giving ceremony of ‘National Children Competition 2018’ which is scheduled to be held today at Bangladesh Shishu Academy. This year a total of 237 prizes are to be given among the winner children in 28 categories, according to Shishu Academy.
Noted dance artiste and choreographer Kabirul Islam Ratan, popular actresses and dance artistes Tareen and Aupee Karim will be also present as judges of dance in the contest. They were present on May 13 to finalize the winners of ‘Ka,’ ‘Kha’ and ‘Ga’ in general category of dance. President will distribute prizes among the winners today.
While sharing her feelings to perform as judge in the national dance competition Tareen told this correspondent, “Children take part in this competition with giving their level best efforts. Everybody performed so well that it was really difficult to judge their performance for selection of top places in the competition. I want to say guardians of the participant children that once my mother and I also gave efforts to take part in the contest like this. Our efforts did not go in vein. I believe they will also continue their efforts in the long run.”
Aupee Karim shared her feelings by this way, “The participants who came here to take part they are obviously talented. But they did not have idea about their talents. So, I request their guardians to utilize their talents which will help them to build up their careers in the long run because they have hidden talents.”
It is also said that to be presided over by noted litterateur Selina Hossain State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Ministry Meher Afroze Chumki will be present as the special guest in today’s prize distribution ceremony. Director of Shushu Academy Anjir Liton will give welcome speech on the occasion.
After prize distribution ceremony the winners will perform in a cultural function also.
