In the small screen, as a pair, Tareen and Apurba have an exceptional acceptability among the viewers. For this, to work as a pair on the screen any director always prefers to cast them in their works. This popular pair was absolutely absent from acting together in any serial or single play due to their separate schedules.
After a year break, Apurba and Tareen have started shooting of a new serial titled Sunflower. They are working together in the serial which is being made to telecast on NTV. Nazrul Islam Raju is giving direction of the serial. Mezbahuddin Sumon wrote story of the serial.
Apurba and Tareen are acting in two leading roles. Tareen is playing the role of Joya who is the owner of Sunflower Electronics in the serial. She is also a mechanical engineer. On the other hand, Apurba is playing the role of Samir who has returned from outside the country.
Shooting of the serial began at Pak Paharpur in Dinajpur on September 18 which will continue till September 30.
While talking about working in the new serial Tareen told this correspondent, “Earlier I had experience to work under Raju Bhai’s direction. His unit is so organised. Big thing is that there is art director in his unit while shooting which makes any actor tension free. Meanwhile, I have worked so many times with Apurba that I always feel him as one of my family members. My family also thinks it. His baby Ayash is also like my children. I closely observed the beginning of his career in media. As a result, his present position in media always impresses me as a colleague. While working in this serial I find myself in role of my father’s job because he was an engineer.”
Apurba shared his feelings by this way, “Tareen Apu is a dynamic actress. She is one of my favourite co-actresses. I can learn many things from her while working. From the beginning of my acting career I have learned many things from her which makes me grateful to her forever. Today many persons talk about my romantic image. Tareen Apu has a lot of contribution in this regard. After a break, working with her in this serial I am felling really well.”
Executive producer of the serial Sunflower Atiqur Rahman Babu informed that from October 2 it will go on air on NTV. They last worked together in last year Eid-ul-Fitr’s play Bondhu Tumi Bondhu Aamar under SA Haque Alik’s direction.
