State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim on Monday visited Robi Sheba center at Gulshan 1 area to assess Robi’s readiness in support of the government led initiative of introducing bio-metric SIM registration.
BTRC Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood, BTRC Vice- Chairman Brig. Gen. Ahsan Habib Khan, Retd and BTRC’s Director General for System and Services Division Brig. Gen. Md. Emdad ul Bari were present.
Robi officials briefed about the steps taken by the company to ensure smooth biometric SIM registration for its valued subscribers during their visit.
Hon’ble State Minister and the BTRC high officials expressed their satisfaction with Robi’s preparation in this regard.
Tarana Halim shared her views with the journalists about the implementation of the biometric SIM registration by the operators and answered their questions in this relation.
