Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh ordered to evict an illegal installation built on the Rampura canal in Angar Jora area adjacent to Banspatti in Meradia J block in the capital
The mayor visited the ‘potential site of the Meradia-Aftab Nagar Link Bridge’ adjacent to Meradia Bazar on Wednesday as a regular visit.
He then instructed DSCC Chief Property Officer Russell Sabrin to evict the structure from the Rampura canal by Wednesday.
Later, Barrister Taposh visited Fakirkhali canal by boat to monitor the current situation. He gave necessary directions to the concerned officials to protect the Fakirkhali canal and to remove the illegal structures built on the canal.
South City Executive Officer Farid Ahmed, Chief Waste Management Officer Air Commodore Sitwat Naeem, Chief Engineer Saleh Ahmed, Secretary Akramuzza-man, Chief Revenue Officer Ariful Haque, Regional Executive Officer of Zone-2 Soy Men Joe, Supervising Engineer Khairul Baker and Kazi Borhan Uddin, Chief Urban Planner Sirajul Islam, councillors and women councillors of the respective wards and local leaders of Awami League among others were present in the event.
