Square Group chairman Tapan Chowdhuty has been re-elected the president of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association for 2017-18 period.
The BTMA election commission chairman Jahangir Alamin on Saturday announced the names of president, vice-presidents and board of directors of the trade body for next two years.
Maksons Group managing director Mohammad Ali Khokon, Anwar Silk Mills Ltd managing director Hossin Mehmud and Mahin Group chairman Abdullah Al Mahmud were elected as vice-presidents of the BTMA.
All the office bearers were elected uncontested.
The newly elected directors of the trade body for the term 2017-18 are Razib Hayder, Badsha Miah, Mobarok Hossain, Monir Hossian, Mohammad Abdullah Zaber, Khorshed Alam, Mosharraf Hossain, Nur-e- Alam Siddiqui, Shafiqul Islam, Shahid Alam, Sayed Ilias Siraji, Sayed Kashfia Haque, Tahrin Aman, Mozaffar Hossain, Ahmed Shahriar Rahman, Akter Hossain, BM Soyeb, Azahar Khan, Abdullah Al Mamun, Sumaya Aziz, Mohammad Mohsin, Shams Mahmud and Shams-ur-Rahim.
