Tapan Chowdhury to honour seven noted persons on his birthday

Today is birthday of popular singer Tapan Chowdhury. This year he will celebrate the day in exceptional way because he will also celebrate to complete his 40 years of music career. Therefore, he will render song in a satellite channel in this regard.
Tapan Chowdhury has been attached with music since 1973. From that calculation he has been attached with music for more than four decades. To mark the day, a special programme is arranged in Dhaka Club today. In the programme, Tapan will honour seven persons who were significant in his music careers. These persons are: Subrata Chowdhury who brought Tapan in band Souls, lyricist Naquib Khan and music composer Pilu Khan of song Mon shudhu mon chhuyechhe, composer of Tapan’s first album Ayub Bachchu, director of his first movie Amzad Hossain, composer Alauddin Ali and lyricist Tajul Islam.
Tapan Chowdhury said, “It is really glad to me I am going to honour those persons who have contribution in the beginning of my music career. But in this special day, I really miss my parents. If they alive they surely feel proud of me. Everybody pray for me.”
After 12 years, Tapan Chowdhury will release his new solo album titled Firey Elam where two of his old songs – Polash futechhe shimul futechhe and Jetey jetey keno porey bandha also took place.
Tapan informed that today he will also render songs on Ntv’s Aj Shokal-er Gaan, which will be aired at 8:05am.
