Shironamhin front man Tanzir Tuhin stepped away from his troupe. The musician, singer-songwriter, actor and architect made an announcement in this regard on his Facebook on Friday. In a short posting, Tuhin said that he is exiting the band for personal reasons. “I am Tanzir Tuhin, stepping away from Shironamhin for personal reasons”, he wrote.
Tuhin’s egress from the band, however, prompted a huge outcry in social media platforms immediately. Fans were seen requesting the iconic vocal to return to the band in the comment section.
Founded in 1996 by Ziaur Rahman Ziawith Jewel and Bulbul, Tuhin joined Shironamhin as a vocal in 2000. Their first album Jahajee was released in 2004. Since then the independent band have released 5 studio albums and several mixed albums. Their latest album Shironamhin was released on 19 July 2013.Their infusion of traditional classical instruments such as sarod, esraj, mandira and dotara along with rock music made them one of the leading bands in the local music scene.
Other members of the band include Ziaur Rahman (bass and compose), Diat Khan (guitar), Ahmad Shafin (drums) and RashelKabir (Keyboard).
