Tanmay team beat Taranga team by 6-2 goals in the opening match of the Walton 1st Women’s Beach Football Tournament at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Wednesday.
Earlier, Chairperson of Cox’s Bazar District Women’s Sports Association Selina Rahman inaugurated the competition by releasing the balloons as the chief guest on Wednesday noon. Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn and General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Women’s Sports Association Gopa Sen were with him as the special guest. General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Anup Barua was present at the time. Vice-President of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Principal Jasim Uddin presided over the inaugural ceremony.
A total of four teams are taking part in the sports meet. They are: Tanmay team, Taranga team, Tatiny team and Tapati team.
