A tank lorry collided with a train at Sitakunda. During this time the engine and lorry of the train were damaged.
A tank lorry collided with a Dhaka-bound train Turna Nishitha leaving Chittagong at around 12pm on Tuesday at the SKM Jute Mill Gate Crossing in Barbakund.
Two people were injured. They were treated at a local hospital.It is known that the tank lorry twisted in the accident. However, the driver got out of the car earlier. The train stopped running after the accident.
The Udayan Express train from Chittagong got stuck in Kumira at that time. Due to the fog, rescue operations have to be speeded up.Locomaster Mujibur Rahman Bhuiyan said that after the relief train went and installed the new engine, the train started running on one line. Railway East zone is repairing the rail line.
