Women-centric role based dramas are not being made in our country frequently. In fact, play directors do not show their keen interest to make this type of drama. Sanjoy Somadder is one of the exceptional directors who made a drama titled Shikol where popular actress Tanjin Tisha played the lead role, which story is based on her role. While sharing her feelings in this regard Tanjin Tisha said, “I think the actors who are interested to act in exceptional roles and also want to present themselves in different ways they should watch the drama Shikol because the role Nondini was so much challenging that I had to work with full commitment for presenting the role properly. In fact, I was attached with the role with full concentration that after acting I took many times to be normal from that role to real life. Sometimes, I find myself in that role. I give thanks to the viewers who are enjoying the drama on app and also they are inspiring me. I give also thanks to the director of the drama who gave me the opportunity to keep full confidence on me to play the role Nondini. Our efforts did not become meaningless.”
“I think women-centric roles based dramas should be made more in our country. There are many stories around the society based on women’s life and their activities. These stories should be used for making dramas or movies. By this way the society can get benefit from these,” she also said.
Tisha also said that yesterday she took part in shooting with Jovan in a drama directed by Jakaria Showkhin. Today she will be also engaged with this drama’s shooting.
