Tanima Ahmed is a daughter of noted actress Sharmily Ahmed. She debuted her acting career in a play titled Muhurto against Asaduzzaman Noor when Tanima was only a student of Class X. It was an unequal love story. Directed by Nawajesh Ali Khan story of the play was written by Momtaz Uddin Ahmed. From that time to till now she acted in many plays. But she never became a professional actress. She always felt comfortable to work as a dubbing artist rather than a TV actress. For this reason, she never became a professional actress. In her long time career, Tanima got many offers to perform as a model in TV commercials (TVC). But she didn’t response to work in any TVC.
This time Tanima couldn’t refuse to perform as a model in Ashfaque Bipul’s directed a TVC. Its shooting was taken place at Rose Garden in old part of Dhaka on Friday. On Saturday, she gave her vocal for its dubbing. Within very short time the TVC will go on air, Tanima expected.
While talking in this regard Tanima said, “Earlier I got many offers to perform as a model in several TVCs. But in didn’t agree to work in those TVCs because those didn’t attract me to perform. When I listened story of the TVC of GrameenPhone from Airin I liked it and also agreed to work in the TVC. I believe viewers will enjoy to watch the TVC. I give special thanks to Ashfaque Bipul Bhai to make a nice TVC.”
Meanwhile, as a dubbing artist, Tanima has also been working in all the movies of Apu Biswas. In movies, viewers watch Apu Biswas on the screen whose voice is basically given by Tanima Ahmed.
Therefore, Tanima is also contributing her vocal for other actresses. Now she is acting in ATN Bangla’s ongoing serial Nirbikar Manush, directed by Masud Mohiuddin.
