Tangail Football Academy will face Asaduzzaman Football Academy in the opening match of the Walton 1st Dhaka Metropolis Football Tournament at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur today. The match kicks-off at 4.00 pm.
Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will inaugurate the football meet at 3.30 pm as the chief guest, while Head of Brand & Communications of Minister High-Tech Park Limited KMG Kibria will be with him as the special guest. Deputy- Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited Engineer Nasiruddin Chowdhury will also present at the time.
Chairman of the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee Harunur Rashid will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee has arranged the football competition, while Walton Group is the title sponsor of the tournament and Minister High-Tech Park Limited is the co-sponsor of the competition.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups are taking part in the football tournament.
