Police in a drive arrested the main accused, Jahangir Alam, in Tangail arson attack, that left a woman and her three daughters dead, from Shohagpara village in Mirzapur upazila on Saturday night.
Mohammed Tanvir, superintendent of police of Tangail, confirmed it saying Jahangir was sent to the Detective Brunch office just after the arrest for quizzing.
Earlier, police arrested Jahangir’s aunt Nasima Begum, his brother Abu Hanif, a local rickshaw-puller, Mohammad Ali, and 14 others in connection with the incident.
