The by-election to Tangail-4 constituency that fell vacant following the resignation of former minister Abdul Latif Siddique from parliament will be held on October 28.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad announced the polls schedule at a press conference at
the media centre of the Election Commission Secretariat at around 2:45 pm on Tuesday.
According to the election schedule, the deadline for the submission of nomination papers is September 30 while the date for the scrutiny of the nomination papers is October 3 and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is October 11.
