Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal wants to show consistent performance against South Africa in the second Test match scheduled to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from July 30 to August 3.
Bangladesh started their cricket campaign this year against Zimbabwe. After that, they played in the ICC World Cup Cricket 2015 in Australia and New Zealand. Then the Tigers played against Pakistan and India.
Bangladesh played really well this year. Especially, in ODI Cricket, Bangladesh showed a gimmick performance. Bangladesh whitewashed Zimbabwe 5-0, showed satisfactory performance in World Cup Cricket, whitewashed Pakistan 3-0, won against India 2-1, beat South Africa 2-1.Besides, Bangladesh drew with South Africa in the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong recently.
Tamim Iqbal said, “We have performed well in 2015 till this date. Especially, we performed well against our opponents in ODI series. After the second Test against South Africa, players of Bangladesh team have a long leisure. We all know it. I want to show consistent performance.”
Tamim said, “This is the last match of the series. If we can perform in this Test like Chittagong, it will be a good series for us.”
He said, “We are going to play against the Number-1 Test team of the world cricket. So, if we want to get a good result, we have to give our cent percent effort.”
