Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal will play for Bangladesh in the second and final Twenty20 International Cricket match against Sri Lanka at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet today. The match starts at 5.00 pm.
Captain of Bangladesh team Mahmudullah Riyad said, ” Tamim’s condition is now pretty good. I hope that he will be totally fit and play tomorrow. He is okay now.”
Tamim Iqbal could not play against Sri Lanka in the first Twenty20 International match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on February 15 due to injury. Tamim got injury when he was taking part at the practice session at the SBNCS on February 14. So, he could not participate in the first T20I against the islanders.
Earlier, the hard-hitter left-arm opener missed some matches in South Africa due to injury.
