Tamim-Soumya to play 1st Test against SA

The first Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa (SA) will be held at Potchefstroom in South Africa from September 28 to October 2.
But dashing opener Tamim Iqbal received groin injury in his left foot on the first day (Thursday) of the three-day warm-up match between Bangladesh and Cricket South Africa Invitation XI at Benoni in South Africa. Then opener Soumya Sarkar got injury in his hand on the second day (Friday).
So, Bangladesh had to finish the three-day warm-up match without the two regular openers. The three-day match ended in a draw.
After the three-day warm-up match the cricket lovers of the country were eager to know if Tamim and Soumya can play the first Test against South Africa.
Later, Physiotherapist of Bangladesh National Cricket team Thihan Chandramohan said to the newsmen, ” Tamim got injury while he was batting. He will start his practice soon. Hoping that he will take part in the first Test. Soumya got injury in his hand while he was fielding. He has been given rest for his well-being. He will begin his practice soon.”
