Bangladesh dashing opener Tamim Iqbal, who went to England to play 7 to 8 games for Essex Eagles in the 4th NatWest T20 Blast, is returning home due to personal reasons after playing a single match.
Essex County Cricket Club on Tuesday confirmed that Tamim has left the club with immediate effect and it would be appreciated if Tamim’s privacy is respected during this time.
Tamim left Dhaka for England on Friday (July 7) and played only one game for Essex against Kent Spitfires on Sunday (July 9).
Tamim was out for run-a-ball 7 with a six while his side suffered a seven-wicket defeat at Kent County Cricket Ground.
Tamim got the county team Essex proposal to play for the side following his brilliant performances against England and Australia in the last Champions Trophy in England and Wales.
