Tamim named new ODI captain

Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal has been named new captain of Bangladesh One Day International (ODI) Cricket team.
The decision was taken at the meeting of Board of Directors on Sunday, said its Chief Nazmul Hassan Papon. Tamim Iqbal will start his campaign as an ODI captain against Pakistan in the lone ODI match which is scheduled
 
to be held at Karachi, the Port City of Pakistan on 3rd April.
Earlier, ace captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza announced his retirement as a captain of Bangladesh (ODI) Cricket team after the ODI match against Zimbabwe at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on March 6. So, BCB was bound to find a new ODI captain for Bangladesh team.
After departure of Mashrafe, senior cricketers Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad and Tamim Iqbal were the candidates for the vacant post.
However, BCB at last has selected Tamim Iqbal as the captain of One Day Inernational (ODI) team.
