Members of the New Zealand-bound squad of the Bangladesh Cricket Team have started taking the Covid-19 vaccine. Tamim Iqbal, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Soumya Sarkar and Taskin Ahmed went to Kurmitola General Hospital on Thursday morning to receive the jab.
The vaccination for the cricketers started around 10:30am.
Tigers’ coaching staff, including Head Coach Russell Domingo, also reached the hospital to take the vaccine.
Two young cricketers -– Nasum Ahmed and Naim Sheikh -– were also seen there.
The cricketers will go to New Zealand taking their first doses of the vaccine and receive the shots after their return.
