Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal got No Objection Certificate (NOC) on Tuesday from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play in the Everest Premier League (EPL) in Nepal. After getting knee injury, the left-arm opener will return to the international cricket through EPL.

But Tamim had started his practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur from September 19.
Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of BCB Akram Khan confirmed on Tuesday that Tamim Iqbal got the NOC from BCB to play in the EPL, scheduled to be held in Nepal from September 25 to October 9.
Chief Physician of BCB Dr Debashish Chowdhury hopes Tamim Iqbal will be totally fit before the EPL begins.
Debashish has been observing the practice sessions of Tamim Iqbal at the SBNCS.
Debashish said, ” I have seen that Tamim did not feel any problem when he was batting. We have to observe his condition when he will do running and fielding. He is gradually improving his condition. I hope he will be cent percent fit before the EPL starts.”
Tamim Iqbal will play for Bhairahawa Gladiators in the upcoming EPL of Nepal.
Tamim will leave Dhaka for Nepal on September 24.
