Chandrakala Theatre staged ‘laughing capsule’ famed comedy play Tamasha at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the city’s Segunbagicha area recently.
Produced by Chandrakala Theatre, the play was written and directed by promising playwright and director HR Anik.
Artistes of the troupe, Badhon, Ratri, Hridoy, Lion, Moli, Masum, Ibrahim, Anis, Babu, Hasan, Tanvir-1, Tanvir-2, Aslam, HR Anik presented several roles of the play while Bazlur Rahman was in lighting.
The play featured the traditional life style of old Dhaka city with outstanding showcasing of some incidents, which are very common in the old Dhaka.
The dialogue of the play was delivered in the local language of old Dhaka.
With the slogan, Moncher aloy jege uthuk sahos niye shottyo, Chandrakala Theatre has been working since its establishment.
