The tallest portrait (mural) of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman sets for formal inauguration in the port city . These eyecatching mural was constructed at Oxygen and Kuwaish intersection in city at a cost of Tk.1.20 crores with own fund of Chittagong Development Authority.
The first ever highest of 42 feet Bangabhandu’s mural installed in the port city . These eyecatching murals are expected to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on January 30 next . CDA sources said for easy viewing of these murals in two intersections i.e.
Oxygen & Kuwaish by the people of Raozan, Rangunia,Hathazari, Boalkhali, Patiya, Satkania and the south Chittagong , three murals were erected in each intersections.
CDA sources said the expansion work of the Oxygen-Kuwaish road was completed at a Cost of Tk.45 crores which was named as Bangabhandu Avenue.
During the coming visit of the Prime Minister in Chittagong on January 30, the plaque of the Bangabandhu avenue will be unveiled, CDA sources said.
