Grand finale of popular music reality show, Channel i-Sherakontho 2017 was held on January 21 in 2018 in Thailand. In that grand finale, Oyshi rendered Tagore song Kotobaro Bhebechhinu and Sumona rendered Mitali Mukherji’s famous song Harano Diner Moto. Then Oyshi and Sumona started their
journeys in the field of music by their own way. Basically their journeys are same in the field of music. Both of them are also concentrating to their studies. They have also devotion and dedication to practicing music. After passing many days, Rakiba Islam Oyshi got the opportunity to learn music from noted
classical singer of the subcontinent, Ustad Niaz Mohammad Chowdhury. For this reason, Oyshi is trying to utilise the opportunity for the development of her career in music. On the other hand, Sumona has been receiving training in different fields of music including
classical music during childhood.
Still now she is receiving lessons from Niaz Mamun. Oyshi is now doing her masters in Classical Music under the Department of Music at Jagannath University. On the other hand, Sumona recently passed in the HSC examinations. Last year in voice of Oyshi, a patriotic song titled Brithai Re Maa was released. Shakhawat Hossain Maruf wrote lyrics
of the song and also composed its tune. According to Oyshi, she is getting positive response for the song now.
Meanwhile, Sumona’s song Tomai Chhara was released on noted singer Kumar Bishwajit’s own YouTube channel, Gaanchhobi Entertainment. Liton Adhikari Rintu wrote lyrics of this song while Kumar Bishwajit composed its tune and music. However, Oyshi and Sumona jointly lent their voices for the song, Suborno 57 on the occasion of 57th anniversary of Bangladesh Television. Oyshi yet not get the scope to render song for play-back. On the other hand, Sumona lent her voice for a play-back song for movie Russell-er Jonnyo Opekkha, which lyrics were written by Ahmed Yousuf Saber, in music composition by Emon Saha. While talking about New Year’s planning and her career in music, Oyshi said, “In fact, everybody has separate plan with music. When anybody appreciates me after hearing my song,
I really get inspiration. Sometimes it is happened that a singer cannot render song by own way but I always try to give my level best effort while rendering. I am now learning new songs day by day. It is really a delightful matter for me. I am satisfied with my present position. I want to remain with good songs forever.” Sumona shared her feelings by this way, “It is my great achievement for me to get the opportunity to render songs with legendary singers. I am stepping forward in the field of music with everybody’s prayers. I am really
satisfied with my present position.”
