Tahrima Khan Tonni’s debut documentary
feature Munni has been selected at Cannes Docs South Asia focus (Market Place). The business counterpart to the Cannes Film Festival, Marché du Film is the world’s biggest film market.
The film was previously featured in Dhaka Doc Lab, Doc Leipzig (Showcased by IEFTA) and DocEdge NewZeland. Director Tahrima Tonni said, “Thanks to International Film Initiative of Bangladesh (IFIB) for showcasing documentary projects at Cannes Docs from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal. Exited and thrilled, but worried as well. Hope to bring a successful end of this documentary.”
The documentary is currently in advanced stage of filming. Abu Shahed Emon from Batayan productions produced this project.
