Staff Reporter :Abu Mohammad Motahhar, a retired headmaster and former president of Madhupur Thana Primary Teachers’ Association and son of Alhaj Kazi Abu Md Mowaizof Kazibari, Dhanbari in Tangail, died of old age complications on Tuesday. He breathed his last at his daughter’s Dhaka residence at 3.30 PM. He was released from the city’s LabAid Hospital on the previous day for showing some improvement. He was 93.Popularly known as Taha Sir, he was buried at their family graveyard in Dhanbari around 10:00 am on Wednesday after the Namaz-e-Janaza. His Qulkhwani will be held on Friday at his Dhanbari village home.Abu Mohammad Motahhar, also eldest brother of A.M. Mufazzal, Editor of The New Nation, left behind four sons, three daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death. Abu Mohammad Masani, senior sub-editor of The Independent his second son, requested all to attend the Qulkhwani and pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
