Tagore singer and educationist Professor Tazeen Chowdhury passed away at the BIRDEM Hospital in the city on Tuesday as she was being treated there for kidney ailments. She was 60.
A former professor of English in Eden Girls College and wife of journalist and former chief editor of BSS late Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury, Tazeen Chowdhury, left behind a son and one daughter and a host of relatives, students and admirers to mourn her death.
Tazeen, daughter of famous politician and social worker late Habibulla Bahar Chowdhury, was buried at Azimpur graveyard after Namaz-e-Janaza at Eskaton Garden Mosque after Asr prayers.
