The Korea Ambassador Cup Taekwondo Championship begins on June 11 at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council. Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation will arrange the two-day long taekwondo competition with the financial assistance of South Korean Ambassador.
A total of 500 athletes from different schools, colleges, universities, clubs, associations, districts and services teams will take part in the taekwondo meet.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the taekwondo competition on June 11 as the chief guest while South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Yon Young and Principal of Eden Women’s College Professor Hosne Ara will be with him as special guests.
Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation Md Sayeed Khokon will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest on the concluding day (June 12).
Lee Yon Young will be present with him as the special guest.
