The MARCEL 4th T20 Corporate Cricket Tournament will begin on Friday (November 14) at the Dhaka Residential Model School Ground with 28 renowned corporate houses of Bangladesh will take part in the meet.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is expected to inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest at 11 am. Udyachal Club of Iqbal Road is the organizer and ASEMS will manage the whole event by providing all the necessary logistics support.
The matches will be held in three different venues of six fields in the capital. The three venues are Dhaka Residential Model School, Lalmatia School ground and Mohammadpur Eidgah Ground.
Twenty eight teams, split into seven groups, will take part in the tournament.The final of the tournament will be held on December 20.
The total budget of the tournament has been estimated at around 16 lakhs and the champion and runner up team will be awarded Taka 1,00,000 lakh and Taka 50,000 respectively as prize money.
In this regards a press conference was held on Saturday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association conference room to give all the details of the meet.
Abul Ahsan Ahmed, chief coordinator of the tournament, Zahid Hasan, executive director, Walton bd, Wafi SM Khan, senior executive director, Green Delta Insurance Company Limited, Tapas Kumar Mondal, managing director of Coca-Cola International Beverages (Pvt.) Limited, among others were present on the occasion.
