The T20 Corporate Cricket League, organized by Clan Management Ltd, begins on Friday at the Dhaka Residential Model School & College ground here.
Bondhan Trading will play Nahee Group in the opening match to begin at 9 am.
Former captain of national cricket team and Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board Naimur Rahman Durjoy MP, will inaugurate the 12-team league for the amateur cricketers of corporate houses to be held only on weekend (Friday & Saturday).
Former national cricketer and event’s ambassador Hannan Sarker, Principal of Dhaka Residential Model College Brigadier General M Abdul Hannan and Principal of Mohammedpur Model School and College Lt. Col. Kazi Sharif Uddin will be present as special guests.
Twelve teams, split into four groups, will initially take part on league basis matches. Later, two top teams from four groups will play the quarterfinals on December 25.
The semifinals and final match will be held on December 26.
Corporate Cricket T20 will be eleven-a-side match. The participating players will be permanent employees of a particular company and non-professional players. White taped tennis balls (boom boom) will be used in the tournament. On every match day, the first match will start at 9:00 am and second match at 2:00 pm.
