Few day remain for the Beanibazar Pourashava Polls, the returning officer in the district has allotted electoral symbols to the candidates for the mayor’s post. Among the ten mayoral candidates, Awami League’s candidate Abdus Shukur (boat), Jatiya Party’s Sunam Uddin (Langal), Bangladesh Communist Party’s Advocate Abul Kashem (Kaste), former Municipal Administrator Tafazzul Hossain (Jag), Awami League rebel GS Farukul Haque (spoon).
another Awami League rebel Abdul Quddus Titu (Helmet), Ahbab Hossain Saju (Computer), Abdus Samad Azad (Hanger), Md. Abdus Sabur (Mobile) and Aji Uddin (Coconut Tree).
Returning officer Mohammad Almgir Hossain allotted the electoral symbols at Beanibazar Upazila Parishad Holl Room recently. Beanibazar Pourashava Corporation polls are slated for June 15.
