The Sylhet-Manchester route, which was closed due to corona, has resumed after two and a half years. Bangladesh Biman’s BG-207 flight flew directly from Sylhet to Manchester on Saturday.
Sylhet Osmani Airport Manager Hafiz Ahmed confirmed the matter. Airport sources said there were 24 passengers from Dhaka and 60 from Sylhet on Saturday’s flight. Before leaving Sylhet, the flight carried 24 passengers from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Abdus Sattar, station manager of Biman Bangladesh Sylhet, said two flights would be operated on this route weekly till March 25. There will be two flights every Thursday and Sunday.
