Under-16 National Cricket Tournament: Sylhet lead by 99 runs against BKSP

Sylhet Division took a 99 runs lead against group-A table toppers Bangladesh Krira Shikkah Pratishthan (BKSP) in the second innings on day one of the two-day Young Tigers Under-16 National Cricket Tournament at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday.
Favoured by coin Sylhet Division opened the first innings and scored 148 runs for all in 51.3 overs riding on a sixth wicket stand off 76 runs in 20.5 overs by skipper Shofiqul Fahim and AKM Sadik.
Captain Shofiqul Fahim knocked a 71 runs off 95 balls involving 10 fours and one six while number seven AKM Sadik added 33 runs. Opener Hussain Ahmed (10) was the other double digit scorer for the side.
Naushad Iqbal and Muhaimin Rashid grabbed four wickets each for 25 and 31 runs respectively while Shamim Hossain took two wickets for economic 11 runs in the first innings on the day.
BKSP opened the first innings and shamefully were bundled out for 63 runs in 36.2 overs. Shamim Hossain (19) and Sifat Sadik Khan (14) were the double digit scorers for the side.
Ishaq Ali captured three wickets for 8 runs while Mostafa Fahim, Ruhel Ahmed and AKM Sadik took two wickets each for 1, 13 and 14 runs respectively. Rashidul Hasan took one wicket for 20 runs.
Sylhet Division opened the second innings on the day and stayed at stumps scoring 14 runs for 1 in 3.5 overs.
Hussain Ahmed was batting on scoring 11 runs when the bails were drawn for the day.
Naushad Iqbal took one wicket for 2 runs for the side.
