Sylhet BCL leader held with firearms

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-9) arrested a Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) leader from a housing estate area in Sylhet.
The arrestee was Saidul Haque Sayed, Sunamganj District BCL deputy secretary for entertainment and son of Shafiq Ullah of Kashipur village in SunamganjÕs Chhatak upazila.
Major Mahfuzur Rahman, media officer of RAB-9, said on Tuesday that a RAB team arrested Sayed in front of the mosque adjacent to the office of councilor Rezaul Hasan Koyes Lodhi in the cityÕs housing estate area around 11 pm on Monday.
RAB recovered a foreign pistol, 8 rounds of pistol ammunition, 5 rounds of shotgun cartridge, 2 local sharp weapons and 1 big knife from him.
