Switzerland has pledged to increase its annual development assistance to Bangladesh to $40 million by 2017.
The current annual Swiss development assistance to Bangladesh is around $33 million.
Its ambassador in Dhaka Christian Fotsch conveyed the message while meeting junior foreign minister Md Shahriar Alam at the latter’s office.
