Swimmers Ariful Islam and Junaina Ahmed of Bangladesh took part in the practice session on Wednesday marking the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. They practised at the swimming pool in Tokyo. Ariful Islam will compete in the Men’s 50 metre Freestyle, while Junaina Ahmed will participate in the Women’s 50 metre Freestle on July 30.
Meanwhile, shooter Abdullah Hel Baki, archer Ruman Shana were out of the Tokyo Olympics. Archer Diya Sidique will compete today in the Women’s Recurve Individual event.
Swimmer Ariful Islam borne the national flag at the march past in the inaugural ceremony of Tokyo Olympics on July 23.
Swimmers Ariful Islam and Junaina Ahmed are taking part in the practice sessions regularly.
Athlete Jahir Raihan will compete in the heat of the 400 metre Sprint. He will participate in his Track and Field event on August 1.
